Making your living space more comfortable and safe is a natural desire inherent in every person. If you live in a large country house or a small studio apartment, you can always choose ready-made solutions - effective automation systems for various devices, equipment, and machinery. Now, when the benefits of Smart Home technology are being talked about and written everywhere, some mistakenly believe that any functionality for automatically turning on / off something in the house can be considered an element of a smart home, but this is not entirely true. We propose to analyze this issue in a little more detail. "Smart Home" is complete automation of the management of all life support systems consisting of several working elements, which operate offline and is and based on artificial intelligence. No human intervention is required except when programming the system and in case of emergencies. Some companies that are engaged in the installation of automation elements in residential buildings or offices, wanting to attract a client, do not quite reliably explain to a potential customer the meaning of a “smart home”. For example, many electrical appliances and household appliances do not need automation: refrigerators themselves are autonomous and operate according to a strict program, washing machines have a timer for delayed cycle start, air conditioners can independently maintain the temperature set in the settings without outside intervention, and so on.
